The LibraryThe library fulfills all the norms laid down by the Dental Council of India. It is housed in the multi-storeyed administrative building. Brightly illuminated and comfortably furnished, the library contributes to the atmosphere required for concentrated study and for research work. The shelves are well stacked with books and journals from various national and international publishing houses. The library has been organised into separate reader services - namely, the main lending section, the text books section, the general reference section and a periodicals and journals section. The library also offers the use of Computers along with Internet services. A photostat machine room, a reading room with audio visual facilities, and an inter-departmental communication system makes our library one of the best equipped in the region.
Digital BackboneTwo hundred miles of computer cabling, gigabytes of data whizzing from one terminal to the other, and precise monitoring of all activities in the campus - thats what the computer backbone at SDCH controls. The entire campus has been wired to be capable of being digitally controlled from the Computer Command Center. This nerve centre controls everything from the telecomm-unications network to the management of patient data from the doctors' terminals. The digital backbone takes care of distribution of Internet access and the distribution & allocation of background music at various public areas across the hospital. The Presentation HallThe Presentation Hall is in keeping with the futuristic ambience of the Institute. To groom the students in the use of the latest methods in presentation techniques, an LCD projector has been provided so that they may become proficient in the use of new technologies and also learn the art of making high impact presentations. The ClassroomsOur Classrooms are air-conditioned to ensure comfortable and clean atmosphere, and in turn facilitate the learning experience. In addition to this, all the lecture halls are fitted with state-of-the-art audio facilities like hi-fidelity sound systems for effective delivery of lectures. Further, they are equipped with Internet ready computers for efficient communications - an indispensable factor in today's work systems. The Student HostelsSeparate hostels for boys and girls are thoroughly modern and air conditioned, offering single and twin sharing accommodation. Each room is supplied with a telephone, computer with provision of an Internet connection. The flooring in each room is white marble and there are attached toilet with 24 hour supply of hot and cold water. |
