DEPARTMENT OF Preventive and Community Dentistry
The Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry focuses on promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases at both individual and community levels. It trains students in public health dentistry, equipping them with skills to conduct research, organize dental health programs, and provide accessible dental care to underserved populations.
The department often collaborates with local communities, conducting awareness campaigns, dental camps, and outreach programs to improve oral hygiene practices. It also emphasizes epidemiological studies to understand risk factors for oral diseases and their connection to overall health.
