Oral pathology is the discipline of pathology that deals with the nature, identification and management of diseases affecting the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions. The department trains students to perform routine histopathological evaluations along with haematological, cytological, microbiological, immunological and ultra structural investigations. The student is trained in the science of histology and pathology of oral and maxillofacial region utilizing state-of-the-art digital microscopy and LCD projection system.

Dr Nagaraja did his Bachelor in Dental Surgery 1995 from Government Dental College and Research Institute Bangalore. He did his MDS from Bapuji Dental College Davangere in the year 2005 in the field of Oral Pathology and Microbiology. Has received the award for Best Out-going post-graduate student from Bapuji Dental College & Hospital for the year 2005. As a faculty till date he has more then 11yrs of teaching & academic experience in training both undergraduates and post-graduate students.
